During THQ Nordic Q1 FY2019 report they announced that Dambuster Studios would be taking over the development of Dead Island 2. Now Dead Island 2 was announced during E3 way back in 2014, you can see the trailer down below. Now since then, we have had little to no information other than it was still in the works.
Well, now it seems that THQ Nordic has passed the Dead Island 2 Development onto Dambuster Studios, Which are the developers who made Homefront: The Revolution. This announcement comes from the Q1 FY2019 Report in which THQ Nordic state:
”We have entrusted Dambuster Studios with the Dead Island franchise, bringing the development of this key franchise to one of our internal studios. They are now leading the development of Dead Island 2.”
It seems that Dead Island 2 is clearly having some development issues as YAGER where the first to be developing Dead Island 2 and then it was passed onto Sumo Digital. So let’s just hope it sticks with Dambuster Studios, and the game finally releases.
