CD Projekt Red has confirmed this to be true…
For anyone that has been following the Cyberpunk stories, you will by now know pretty much everything there is know. What you probably don’t know (until reading this article) is what you won’t be getting. Obviously the rumor’s about this game have been abundant since it was first mentioned way back when (1972 if I remember). And of course, there have been delays aplenty, the latest being for a release date of November 2020.
The latest bit of news to come directly from the horse’s mouth is that Cyberpunk will no longer have a wall run feature (Honestly did not know this was a thing) Projekt Red’s level designer Max Pears said it was something they removed due to design reasons. He also stated however that there was still going to be lots of flexibility on the movement.
For me personally, I think that wall running is not required in an FPS. Unless you cut to a third-person view so that you get some proper Matrix-style action scenes I think this would be wasted. So for everyone out there that was purchasing Cyberpunk on the proviso that wall running was included, sorry but it’s not a thing anymore.
If we take a look at what is coming through it still looks awesome. We at DGR are counting down the days till the site goes dark and we stay inside to play until we pass out. If you’re lucky you might get a review by Christmas! In the meantime take a look at the trailer I have added for you and drool over that until it drops.
