Cyberpunk 2077’s NPC details revealed and more
With more staff members working on the game than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt CD Projekt Red brings us a story-driven, open world RPG of the dark future… Cyberpunk 2077.
As we are aware CD Projekt Red’s main strength lies within there handcrafted single player experiences. They have confirmed that they are not going to be artificially extending the playtime by pushing more content into the game. All the content within the game will add to the story-driven experience in a meaningful way giving the player a top class gaming experience.
In an interview it was revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will launch as an entirely single -player experience. However the team at CD Projekt Red are researching whether the game could have a multiplayer component… They have confirmed however that the main focus is on the single player RPG element of the game.
Miles Tost, Level Designer for CD Projekt RED has stated that the outcomes of side quests could end up influencing the main storyline itself.
“It’s all Interwoven”
His exact words were, “Side quests are great opportunities for us to tell stories of our cyberpunk world. After all, despite not being a part of the main questline, they are still connected to the world and can elaborate on certain parts of it, like the characters,” he said. “So it’s all interwoven. And yes, that also means that our side quests could affect the main story.”
Tost also went on to explain how the police and other NPC’s in the game might respond to any actions taken by the player. From what has been said the experience sounds truly immersive.
Tost said “It’s really important to us to portray a world that you feel a part of, so naturally, the world also has to react to your presence,” he also said. “Regarding this particular example, let me just say the Night City police don’t react lightly to people stepping out of the line. Their cyber implants, as well as advanced weaponry make them not a pushover, either.”
The game does not have a confirmed release date as of yet however could be with us as early as 2019. I personally can not wait for the game, it looks and sounds phenomenal.
