Playmagic, the developer behind the remake of XIII- a cel-shaded first-person shooter, has recently divulged that the title will no longer release in November as initially planned, it is now expected to launch sometime next year.
Furthermore, publisher Microïds confirmed this, saying they were “thrilled” with PlayMagic’s work so far, but additional development time required- to reach the level of polish that we “are aiming for.”
The XIII remake announced back in April much, to everyone’s surprise- it was extremely unexpected. The hit initially developed by Ubisoft Paris, and released way back in 2003, on last-gen consoles- Xbox, PS2, Gamecube and the PC.
Microids said that it intends to “bring XIII’s compelling story to a new generation of players with the best possible graphics and animation, and it will be nothing short of spectacular.”
We will have to wait to see if Microids ambitions have come into fruition when it now launches sometimes in 2020- for Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC.
