Borderlands 3 Post-Release Content Explained

Just recently at PAX West, Gearbox announced and broke down the first stage of post-release content for their much anticipated title, Borderlands 3… Coming soon will be three content drops comprising of a Bloody Harvest Event, the Maliwan Takedown, and finally the first DLC.

The Bloody Harvest Event ( dropping fall of 2019 ) will be a Halloween themed release composed of scary themed side missions and activities, along with a whole new set of rewards to follow along with that theme. The next content expansion coming later on in the year will be the Maliwan Takedown, which will include a whole new map to Borderlands 3. Bringing with it as well a brand new set of enemies to fight your way through, in addition to new weapons and rewards. And possibly the best feature to both of these expansions, is that they will come at no cost. Both are completely free for the gamer.

Finally, later in 2019, we will be given the first official DLC for Borderlands 3. This one though will cost money if you do not have the season pass, but if you pre-ordered the Deluxe edition of the game you will get all of this content free of charge. This DLC will be bringing us all new side missions as before, new enemies as well as loot. But more importantly it will dive deeper into the campaign, and pick up where the main story left off.

Borderlands 3 will be available on September 13 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. As well as a limited-time exclusivity deal with the Epic Games store. And it will also be dropping on Google Stadia, a brand new gaming service.
