Did you enjoy the Assassin’s Creed III remaster on Nintendo Switch? Hungry for more Assassin-y action? Well, you’re in luck: for a small fee of £40 you can now get your hands on Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection, a Switch-Exclusive collection which includes a set of popular AC titles. The collection contains Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue as well as all available DLC – that includes ACIV expansions Freedom Cry and Aveline.
As if the collection wasn’t already packing enough of a punch, you also receive a host of fun extras in the collection: volumes 1 & 2 of the AC Awakening manga, as well as a good opening chunk of the Black Flag novel The Lost Journal, as well as a host of trailers and concept art. This looks like a very impressive package for any Assassin’s Creed fan looking to get their AC fix on the go, especially considering that IV and Rogue are among the higher-regarded games in the series. Early reports seem to be that the game runs well, unlike the rocky unpatched release of ACIII.
It’s worth mentioning that the collection will unfortunately not include both games on the cartridge – Rogue will require a download, although no download code will be required (it’s all handled on the cartridge.) The Rebel Collection will also feature adjustable font sizes to accommodate for both handheld and docked players.
If this collection does well, perhaps we’ll see more Assassin’s Creed on the Switch: a port of the Ezio Trilogy seems likely, or maybe the smaller Chronicles games. Whatever happens, it’s still impressive that we have four full Assassins Creed games playable portably now.
Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. You can check out the trailer here:
