Gamestop has decided to cancel all midnight releases like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Doom Eternal for the time being.

The staff of Gamestop had a memo that said, “To maintain the health and safety of our guests and associates, it is best that we avoid situations where large numbers of guests are gathered indoors or standing in line.”

Kotaku was able to obtain this information and talk to the staff about their perception of the postponement and how Gamestop is handling the Corona Virus outbreak.

In addition to stopping the midnight releases, Gamestop is also stopping demo booths and mandating hand washing every two hours.

Gamestops are small as it is, packing the small stores with so many people for midnight releases would be disastrous.

What do you think? Do you think these are good enough measures, or if they should take further steps, let us know down below!
