New FPS Titled Industria Coming to PC https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/latest-gaming-news/new-fps-titled-industria-coming-to-pc/ https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/latest-gaming-news/new-fps-titled-industria-coming-to-pc/#respond Thu, 28 May 2020 18:49:13 +0000 https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/?p=32078 Check out the new FPS PC game called Industria Bleakmill, a brand new studio, has announced its debut game, Industria, which is coming to PC sometime in 2021. Teaming up with publisher Headup Games, Industria takes place in a “parallel reality” in East Berlin during the Cold War. You must go through the dangers of the city to find a missing colleague. “Berlin, 9th November 1989: The streets are full of people,” writes the developer. “After four decades of division, thousands of cars are rolling across the inner-German border. The Wall is finally open!” “At the same time, a man disappears in a secret research facility near East Berlin. His goodbye message reaches you too late. You drive back to the office, where the State Security has already destroyed all records of the research project. The complex is deserted and empty.” Players will fight robots that can be around any corner. The constant danger and “tight atmosphere” is the core of the experience when going through Berlin. So far, to survive, the weapons announced to consist of a pistol, machine gun, rifle, and an ax. The recommended specs will require 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor, 8 GB RAM, GeForce 970 or Radeon RX 580, and 15 GB of available space. For you PC gamers, you can add Industria to your wishlist on Steam now. What do you think of Industria? Let us know in the comments. “Thousands of Games” to be Backwards Compatible on Xbox Series X at Launch https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/latest-gaming-news/thousands-of-games-to-be-backwards-compatible-on-xbox-series-x-at-launch/ https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/latest-gaming-news/thousands-of-games-to-be-backwards-compatible-on-xbox-series-x-at-launch/#respond Thu, 28 May 2020 18:16:04 +0000 https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/?p=32071 Play “thousands of games” with backward compatibility on Xbox Series X Whether it is an old game you want to go back to or missed out on, you will have a high chance of having that game on Xbox Series X. Director of program management Jason Ronald wrote on an Xbox Wire post that announces that backward compatible games on Xbox Series X will be in the thousands when it launches this holiday season. “With more than 100,000 hours of play testing already completed, thousands of games are already playable on Xbox Series X today, from the biggest blockbusters to cult classics and fan favorites,” writes Ronald. “Many of us in Team Xbox play on the Xbox Series X daily as our primary console and switching between generations is seamless. By the time we launch this holiday, the team will have spent well over 200,000 hours ensuring your game library is ready for you to jump in immediately.” The team at Xbox has been pushing for its players to play anywhere with crossplay between Xbox and PC along with the boundaries of backward compatibility on Xbox One. In 2015 gamers were able to play Xbox 360 games on their Xbox Ones. Today there are hundreds of options to go back and enjoy some sweet 360 nostalgia. Older games running on the Xbox Series X will get the consoles full power, meaning you can play older games that will run smoother than it felt at launch. Not only will your Xbox 360 and original Xbox games play better with higher FPS, HDR, and other options will allow for prettier visuals, even games that are pushing 20 years old. Other features that Microsoft’s next-gen console has like Quick Resume, where you can put a game on standby and switch to something else instantly, will work on backward compatible games. What do you think about backward compatibility on Xbox Series X? Does this change your views on the new Xbox? Let us know in the comments. This doesn’t come with a surprise, most games this year have been delayed and scheduled for next year or just simply been pushed up a couple of months. Fast & Furious Crossroads was originally meant to be released in May, but from the current pandemic that is happening at the moment, it brings no surprise, that it has been delayed. This could possibly give them the opportunity to improve how the game looks as it feels like I’m traveling back a few years where graphics didn’t matter. Come on Slightly Mad Studios it’s 2020, I know you can do better. Fast & Furious Crossroads is currently being developed by Slightly Mad Studios. From the other games that Mad Studios have created look flashy and well-done, but then you have a game that is like this if you’re going to take on a big series like Fast & Furious at least make it look good. But they do have gadgets, explosions and lots of voice acting which will make the game less agonizing then it is already. At least you won’t have really bad driving mechanics that will surely make you break your consoles or keyboard because you can’t simply go in a straight line. Mad Studios does have something going for them, they do make good racing simulator games that have decent driving controls, so no need to worry about that. Well, we have some sad news, as Blizzard announced today officially that Blizzcon 2020 will be cancelled. Now with many events getting cancelled due to Covid-19, many developers are looking at other ways to show of there upcoming games, however, Blizzard have currently not announced if they will still be doing a Blizzcon online event. “A gaming convention is probably the last thing on most people’s minds right now, and that goes for many of us at Blizzard too. As events around the world announce cancellations, postponements, or shifts to an online format in response to COVID-19, we’re seeing questions about our plans for this year’s BlizzCon,” said an official Blizzard statement. “As so many of us have been isolated for multiple weeks now, surrounded and in some cases directly impacted by the ongoing pandemic-related challenges around the world, we’re looking forward to the time when we can see one another again in person and have something to celebrate together.” “The health of our community, employees, and everyone who helps with the show is our top consideration,” continued the statement from Blizzard. “It might be a few months before we know for certain if or how we’ll proceed, but as soon as we have a meaningful update, we’ll share it.” Only time will tell if Blizzcon will happen online instead. Either way, we are sad to see the event get cancelled and look forward to what Blizzard do next. Were you looking forward to Blizzcon 2020? Let us know in the comments below. Resident Evil Has An “Exciting Announcement” Incoming https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/latest-gaming-news/resident-evil-has-an-exciting-announcement-incoming/ https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/latest-gaming-news/resident-evil-has-an-exciting-announcement-incoming/#respond Thu, 28 May 2020 00:40:06 +0000 https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/?p=31950 What’s Capcom got in store for Resident Evil? Resident Evil’s “Ambassador Program” – essentially Capcom’s own RE-based newsletter subscription – has teased some exciting news for the beloved horror franchise. An email sent to Gold members of the program has got fans excited for info on what’s next for Capcom’s iconic series. The email is in Japanese, but roughly translated it mentions an “exciting announcement” coming next month. Rumours have been circling for some time about a Resident Evil 8 as well as a remake of Resident Evil 4. While it’s not certain yet, it’s probably safe to assume that the announcement will be regarding one of these two titles, or potentially both. Capcom has been experiencing success with the Resident Evil series as of late, with both new entries as well as remakes of classic titles in the series proving to be fan favourites and a solid return to form for the once stagnating franchise. Will they attempt to continue the winning streak started by the remakes of 2 and 3? Or, will they try to diminish the possibility of remake-fatigue setting by giving us a new Resi story? This remains to be seen, but it seems certain that Capcom has no intentions of putting the series to rest any time soon. When’s the Resident Evil reveal? As noted by a report by Bloody Disgusting, the reveal appears to be scheduled for the 10th of June – this would coincide with the week of Xbox’s Big Summer Games event. Coincidence or not, that week could prove to be a very interesting one for gamers. With the loss of E3 due to the pandemic, many companies are choosing to host their own online events, and this has caused a much wider spread of games news, so weeks like this are starting to become more commonplace. What do you hope is next for Resident Evil? Do you think Capcom should try reviving another series? Let us know in the comments! Platinum Games Head Has Not Seen “Extremely Big Surprises” in Next-Gen Consoles https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/latest-gaming-news/platinum-games-head-has-not-seen-extremely-big-surprises-in-next-gen-consoles/ https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/latest-gaming-news/platinum-games-head-has-not-seen-extremely-big-surprises-in-next-gen-consoles/#respond Wed, 27 May 2020 21:41:35 +0000 https://dailygamingreport.co.uk/?p=31943 PLATINUM GAMES BOSS SPEAKS ABOUT THE XBOX SERIES X AND PLAYSTATION 5 Studio head of Platinum Games, Atsushi Inaba, spoked to VGC about the company and his feelings towards next-gen hardware. He spoke about how he hasn’t seen any “extremely big surprises” from Sony or Microsoft so far. “We haven’t seen everything from next-gen at this point, I think, and it’s still very likely that there could be a quality like that in these consoles that are going to kind of be a game-changer, that’s going to change how games could be played,” Inaba told VGC. “And if that is the case, then maybe they’ll blow me away. So I don’t want to sound like, ‘hey, I know everything about the new consoles and they’re boring.'” He used the example of the jump from pixel to 3D graphics when gamers went from playing on the Super Nintendo then got their hands on the PlayStation 2. While he enjoys seeing the progress in technology that will be in the hands of developers, like the Unreal Engine 5 demo, he is uncertain about the advances that will come from Xbox Series X and PS5 from their predecessors. This is a slight improvement from is initial expectations. Last year in an interview with VGC, that went into his thoughts about the future of consoles, which at the time were still more or less or a mystery compared to the information that is out now. Last June, he felt it’s “more of the same” when comparing previous generations. Back in February Platinum Games announced its next-gen game with the current name Project GG. It is currently under a project titled Platinum 4, a campaign surrounding four games in production from the Japanese developer. The first announcement was The Wonderful 101: Remastered, which released worldwide last week for PS4, PC, and Switch. What do you think of the Platinum Games head’s opinion on next-gen hardware?
